INDUSTRY Q&A; down. On the other side, our purchasing department does the same thing. So, yes, you could call that the new normal. You do more with less; you work to keep costs down, but don't expect things to be normal. What should people expect from your brand moving forward? You're going to see a continued push toward our her- itage – going back to our roots. This started back in 2009 with the introduction of our prototypes and new prod- ucts. We're going back to doing the kind of things that Eddie Bauer did when he started this company in 1920. We are an outdoor company that is focused on providing our customers with high-quality apparel, outerwear and gear to outfit all of their adventures. The push is going to continue to go in that direction. Our standard product lines will continue to evolve into the kind of products our customers want and need. From a design and construction standpoint, you're going to see the continued use of our lifestyle stores. Our customers like them; our landlords like them. They are fun to build. It's fun for us. It's fun for our contractors. And I think it's fun for our customers. CCR Photos by Mark A. Steele Photography Inc. 32 Commercial Construction & Renovation September/October 2012
