Combination Door Company Fitting Room Door Specialists... and More! At the Combination Door Company, quality, expedited lead times & limitless capabilities has been our focus as a manufacturer of custom stile and rail doors since 1912, and continues today. people can't go without. You don't have to replace what you have. Men are able to time the replacement of their clothes more so than women can. He has to wear a pair of pants and a shirt, but he doesn't always have to have new ones. So that makes it discretionary within an intermediate time frame. So we're more susceptible to economic cycles than retailers for female consumers. What are some of the lesson you've learned from the economic times? You have to remain relevant to your target market. You have to continuously seek and define your relevance, or at the very least maintain it. That is of upmost importance. It's something all retailers need to work on with more urgency. Of course that's important. But I think it's something all retailers need to work on more furiously. They should never forget that staying relevant is something that must happen. This falls into the "work-in-progress" category, too. What was the biggest surprise in 2012? I can't say that I was really surprised by anything. It was nothing like 2008 – 2008 was tough. In 2012, I think we understood the challenges we had laid out in front of us. We understood the economic environment we were operating under. I can't say 2012 was any more difficult or less difficult than I imagined. The consumer sector does continue to remain soft. And the economic environment still is not helpful. If there was any surprise it was to see how harmful the political environment was on the economic environment. I didn't think it could be like that. It was a tough year in that regards, and may continue to be. Overall, I wasn't expecting a lot of growth in 2012, but I really thought that the whole political picture would have been clearer after the election. Do you see any opportunities in 2013?
