I f you listen closely to today's commercial con- struction executives, you will hear them talk a lot about the pent up demand that seemed to start bursting from the seams in 2013. Heading in 2014, many feel the trend will continue, help- ing pave the way for even bigger things in 2014. During the roundtable discussion at our 2013 Commercial Construction & Renovation retreat, the talk of an industry turnaround was in the air. While it will still take some time to shake free from the economic suppression caused by the most recent recession, things are getting better. You could call that the overriding consensus from some of the industry leaders participating in our retreat, held at the Palomar Hotel in Phoenix, Sept. 26-28, 2013.
